Ruth Fostvedt's Iron-skillet Almond Coffee Cake

Ingredients:
¾ cup melted butter
1 ½ cup sugar
2 eggs
1 ½ cups of flour
a pinch of salt
1 ½ tsp. almond extract
½ cup of sliced almonds
Mix together flour, sugar, eggs, melted butter, salt and almond extract. Line a 10-inch iron skillet with aluminum foil. Spray inside of foil with Pam. Pour battger into foil-lined skillet. Cover top of batter with almonds and a little sugar. Pre-heat oven to 3500 and bake for 40 to 50 minutes. Let cool before removing from skillet. Remove foil and serve.
